The History of our school

Poulton Lancelyn Primary School was opened in September 1970. The school is built on land, which belonged to the Lancelyn-Green family of Poulton Hall; their ancestry can be traced back to William the Conqueror. School has a line of very old oak trees, which used to line the boundary road of the hall and our school badge is one of the Coats of Arms used by the Lancelyn-Green family. The family still retains a connection with the school through membership of the Governing Body.
