Well Being

Well-being is about how we are doing and how we feel about our lives.

Low well-being has been linked to mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. It can impact our relationships with family and friends and how we feel about and interact with the world around us.

The well-being of both our staff and pupils is key to maintaining the positive atmosphere we have established at school.

WAMH Ambassadors

We have a selection of pupils from across school, who are WAMH ambassadors at our school. This group meet half termly to discuss how we can improve pupil well-being across school. Recent discussions have centred around playground development, 50th brithday celebrations and summer events.
Thumbs Up

Sue and Cath from Thumbs Up come to school termly to support pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6 with well-being strategies. Their support for pupils and their families helps to maintain a positive outlook and create strategies to deal with negative emotions such as anxiety and stress. Thumbs Up have completed parent workshops during Spring Term, which can be found in the workshop tab.
