Thumbs Up
26.9.20
Sue and Cath from Thumbs Up Education came to school on Friday to deliver the first of six sessions with Year Five. We are extremely lucky to have this Wirral based company complete work with our children to support them in developing positive mental attitudes through reflections of real life scenarios. With children's mental health being so relevant in this current situation, it is wonderful that we have this experienced duo working with Years 4, 5 and 6 during the year.
For further information on the work that Thumbs Up do, please refer to the link below.
Macmillan Virtual Bake Off
27.9.20
Due to current restrictions, we were unable to hold a coffee afternoon in school so we improvised. We decided to have a virtual bake-off. Children and their families were challenged to bake something delicious over the weekend and donate money to Macmillan as part of entering. The theme of the baking was to celebrate the 50th birthday of our school, which we are celebrating next month.

There were some wonderful baked entries, which will be added to the gallery section of our website.

The winners were selected by Mrs Higgins-Carter and the Rights Crew this week and their photographs are at the bottom of the news feed. Well done to everyone who took part.
Face Masks
21.9.20
We would like to say a big thank you to every member of our community for the cooperation and patience that you have shown as we have been adjusting our systems and routines over the last few weeks. We understand that one-way systems and staggered times can be frustrating but maintaining the health and safety of our pupils and our families is a top priority and again, we are very grateful for your support. From Monday, we would ask that you wear a face mask around our site. This is direct guidance from Public Health Wirral and all schools will be asking parents to do the same in order to increase our protection during this pandemic.
Convo 19
14.9.20
As part of our transition weeks, pupils have been discussing the current pandemic. It has been excellent to develop the pupil's mental health by allowing them to open up about their concerns and we have been looking at the positive aspects of the current situation such as spending more time outside and with our immediate family. If you have any concerns about your child's well being due this difficult time, please contact school. An image of our Convo 19 display is at the bottom of the news feed.
We are back!
6.9.20

It has been brilliant to see all of our children returning to school this week. The pupils have returned to their current classrooms for some transition activities before they enter their new year groups on the 14th September. It has been lovely to see classrooms filled with enthusiastic, smiling faces, who are all ready to  learn. The health and safety of our community is of the highest priority to us at school so please bear with us as we continue to adjust our systems around the school site.
