Easter

To celebrate Easter F1, F2 and KS1 took part in an Easter bonnet parade. It was lovely to see so many pupils to pride in decorating their bonnets. KS2 decorated eggs with an 'iconic' theme. There was some eggsellent creations.
 
We hope all of our families enjoy a lovely Easter break.
Greek Day

As part of their Historry unit, Year 4 participated in a Greek day. They made decisions in a democratic manner, tasted Greek food and competed in Greek olympics., What a brilliant day they had.
Environment Day

The whole MAT celebrated Environment and sustainability Day today by completing various activities. 
F2 had Farmer Andrew in to talk to them about growing crops. He even brought his tractor with him!
Year 1 helped to organise a share a bear morning, where teddy bears were donated to school and we be rehomed with children in less fortunate areas.
Year 2 hed a reuse book fair. Children were able to come to the stalls and select a book to take home.
Year 3 reduced our energy use by monitoring whether we could switch any lights of around the buildings
Year 4 were on litter patrol and completed around the school grounds.
Fair trade cakes were baked in Year 5 and the teachers organised a walking bus to reduce air pollution in the local area.
Y6 had a workshop with Asda about sustainability.
It was a very informative day that will help the pupils understand the importance of maintaining the environment.
Rights Crew Trip

To coincide with Environment Day, the Right's Crew visited Trustlands in Bromborough to see how the local company maintains sustainability in the local area. It was an extremely informative trip and really encouraging to see how local business help to maintain our world.
Easter Assembly

We enjoyed an Easter Assembly Celebration from Holy Trinity today about Easter. Thankyou to our visitors for explaining the true meaning of Easter in a very informative way. 
Comic Relief

Today we support Comic Relief by holding Poulton's Got Talent. It was brillianbt to see the pupils demonstrating the talents they have including: playing musical intruments, telling jokes, acting, singing and magic.
It was a very positive day and money was raised by the pupils wearing their own clothes. Thankyou to all of the families who donated.
Year 2 Trip

As part of their Religious Education unit, Year 2 walked to Holy Trinity Church to examine the key features of the church and the importance of Chrisitnaity on our local community. Even though many of the children attend community groups at the chuch, it was interesting for them to get a different perspective of the the building.
World Book Day

Today we celebrated on eof the most significant skills that a human can possess - the ability to read. At Poulton we know how important reading is to a successful future life and for World Book Day we allowed the children to bring in their favourite books. We read them to other people and discussed why we enjoy them so much. The children also created their own short stories, which will be added to a school book of stories.
