An Egg-cellent Day!
26.3.21
As it is Easter, we continued with our traditions of a bonnet parade in Key Stage 1 and an egg decorating competition in Key Stage 2, with the theme of 'Our Heroes'. We were blown away by the creativity from the pupils and we would like to congratulate everyone who participated. Well done to those children who won the Easter prizes. Photos are below.
Break The Rules
26.3.21
Once again, our PTA encouraged the children to be cheeky and break the rules! Children wore their own clothes, dyed their hair and even brought teddies to school. A fun day was had by all, and the PTA raised further funds to support the development of our school.
Reading Stars
25.3.21
As part of our Key Stage Two Starbooks Reading Scheme, children who had received a stamp for reading books were rewarded with a treat from the canteen. Some children - who had read 10 books from the list - had a hot chocolate with Mrs Parkinson. What a treat!
Red Nose Day 2021
21.3.21
We had an amazing day today doing Poulton’s Got Talent and wearing mismatching clothes to raise money for Red Nose Day. Contestants performed jokes, some sang and others played musical instruments amongst other impressive talents. Congratulations to all who took part and making everyone smile. We also loved the quiz against Mrs Arnold and Mr Milne too... the children beat them! Once again we would like to thank all of our families for supporting such a worthwhile charity.
Great Poulton Bake off
 11.3.21
Year two had a treat today, baking bread with their teachers whilst learning from ASDA bakers online. The children mixed the ingredients, kneaded them together and took their bread home to bake. The finished products looked delicious.
Return to School!
8.3.21
It was wonderful to see so many happy faces returning to school today. Even though some children may have felt anxious as they walked in, everyone settled back in superbly, like they had never been away. Even Mr Lacey popped over to see how fabulous our children are. Well done to everyone!
Earth Day
5.3.21
This term, our learning is based on Fighting for our Future. We want the children to recognise the vital role that they will play in sustaining our world for future generations. Today, we held our own Earth Day. Pupils were asked to reduce their electricity use by completing activities such as painting, gardening, reading and exercising. We hope that everyone had a lovely day and helped the sustain our planet.
World Book Day
4.3.21
Today, we celebrated World Book Day. The pupils all wrote poems for the Chris Salmon poetry competition, they were invited to attend a live session about bringing reading to life and the afternoon was filled creating illustrations to the book Croc and Bird. It may have been slightly different than usual, but it was still a lovely day celebrating our love of reading.
