Christmas Week
13th-17th
What a busy Christmas week we have had! The festive celebrations began on Monday with our wonderful PTA Christmas Market. Pupils were able to purchase gifts for their family members with the help of our PTA elves. We hope everybody enjoyed the gifts thatthe children selected.

On Tuesday, the whole school visited the Floral Pavillion to watch Beauty and the Beast. It was a lovely trip and we all enjoyed shouting and laughing along with the characters.

Santa decided to skype F2 and KS1 on Wednesday. He was just making sure that all of the children were still behaving themselves. The children were able to ask him some very important questions.

On Thursday, the Christmas raffle took place, as did the paper chain cutting. Mr Smith cut the paper chain and the main prize was won by Ellie in Year 1. Well done! After all the excitement, the children enjoyed their delicious Christmas lunch, which was cooked by our lovely Taylor Shaw catering team.

To end the week, the children enjoyed a treat afternoon. Some classes played party games and others watched films. It was the parfect way to end a brilliant week.

We hope that all of our families enjoy a festive break, get to relax and stay safe and healthy. See you in 2022!

Santa Dash
10.12.21
Today the pupils completed their Santa Dash. This is a fun run, which comprises of running around the grounds of our school. It was fantastic to see the pupils actively enjoying themselves and receiving their medal at the end of it from Mr Milne. Thank you to the PTA for purchasing a medal for every child. The remainder of the money helps to purchase a gift for every pupil - this will be given to them by a special man next week.
Poulton Lancelyn Christmas Tree
10.12.21
As well as having two Christmas trees in school, we also provide a tree to St Andrews Church for their tree festival. Our tree will be displayed over the weekend and all of the decorations have been produced by the pupils in school. If you have the time, please visit the church and see our tree.
Curriculum Afternoon
9.12.21
Today, we welcomed our parents in to school to look at the wonderful work that the children have completed during Autumn Term. We aim to hold a curriculum afternoon each term and hopefully, as the weather begins to improve, Covid levels will once again decrease and more parents will attend to see how lovely our school is. We hope that any parents who viewed their children's books at home, enjoyed seeing the work the pupils have produced.
Amasing sing along
9.12.21
Year 4 joined in with a virtual Christmas sing along with the music company Amasing. The children were up and out of their chairs to dance and sing. They will do more work with Amasing in 2022 - including producing the Oak Trees MAT song!
Film Night

Christmas officially began in school this week with Elf showing at our film nights. The children loved watching the film with their friends and eating the hotdog and doughnut, which were supplied by the PTA. We are looking forward to another film night in 2022.
