Barnstondale
22.4.21
Year 4 were able to experience the brilliant facilities at Barnstondale today. The children loved every minute of getting active in the woodland. They completed wildlife studies down by the brook and were even able to fit in a bit of archery. We hope that this will be the start of Year 4 going to Banstondale every year now due to the fantastic learning outside the classroom activities on offer.

More information and photographs will be added to the enrichment section of our website.
Tennis Roadshow
21.4.21
Key Stage One were able to develop their tennis skills as part of a tennis roadshow ran by Prenton Tennis Club. The children developed their hand-eye co-ordination as well as how to hold a racket. Many of the children enjoyed it so much that they took up the offer of free tennis sessions at the club over the weekend.
Thumbs Up
21.4.21
Sue and Kath from Thumbs Up Education are once again in school supporting our children. This half term, they are in Year 4 developing pupils' resilience and postivity, which are both crucial characteristics to possess due to the current pandemic. Thanks for all of your work ladies!
Forest School
19.4.21
Today saw the start of our brand new Forest School program! Children from years, 1, 2, 3 and 4 spent a session with our ranger Dwayne, learning practical skills in the lovely outdoors. They will learn skills such as fire building, shelter making and learn about local wildlife during the sessions. Hopefully they will toast a few marshmallows for us as a treat!
More information, and photos of our Forest Schools program will be on the Enrichment section of our school website shortly.
Cleaning Up
3.4.21
As part of the impact of our Environment topic 'Fight for Our Future' some children asked how they can help - so we bought some litter kits. Year Two children have already begun using this equipment in their own time and have been spotted cleaning the local area. Keep up the good work!
